You would like to prepare for the unexpected? We reccomend a travel insurance with Trip cancellation protection Hotel Cancellation Plus so that your cancellation costs are covered.
The term ‘cancellation’ originally refers to the reversal of a booking that has already been made.
A cancellation can be initiated by either the customer or the provider and generally means that a previously made order or reservation is no longer valid.
A cancellation is the notification that an arrangement/booking will not take place as planned. Cancellations can be made for various reasons, including health, organisational or unforeseen circumstances. We therefore recommend travel cancellation insurance, as in many cases cancellations are associated with costs, especially if they are made at short notice. A written cancellation is important in order to inform all parties involved in time and to offer alternatives if necessary.
Cancellation terms are the contractual conditions that specify the circumstances under which and the deadlines by which a booking can be canceled without the customer incurring financial losses. These terms vary by provider and may include time limits, fees, or special circumstances under which a penalty-free cancellation is allowed.
Cancellation risk refers to the possibility that a booking or agreement may be canceled, which can have negative financial impacts for both the customer and the provider. For customers, this means they may lose money already paid or face additional cancellation fees. Providers, on the other hand, face lost revenue and increased administrative efforts. Managing cancellation risk and its conditions is therefore a crucial aspect of booking planning. To avoid extra costs, we offer cancellation protection insurance.
Cancellation protection insurance is a special type of insurance that protects customers from the financial risks associated with a cancellation. This insurance typically covers the costs that arise in the event of a cancellation, ensuring that the customer does not have to bear the full amount. Cancellation protection insurance is especially common in the travel sector and provides additional security for customers in case unforeseen events require a cancellation. The exact coverage and terms vary depending on the provider and the insurance policy.
Travelers who do not opt for cancellation protection insurance consciously choose to bear the economic risk of a cancellation and are thus required to pay compensation (according to the cancellation terms) to the travel provider/hotel/campsite.
