• Family board games (we have a selection available in the Kids' Zone – just ask)
• Sauna sessions or a wellness day with a day spa

Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol, is well-connected and easy to reach from our SchartnerAlm. The city offers a fascinating blend of Alpine and Mediterranean cultures. In Bolzano, you can stroll through the historic arcades, visit the impressive Archaeological Museum with Ötzi, the Iceman, or explore the beautiful markets to discover local specialties. Bolzano is also an ideal starting point for excursions to the surrounding vineyards and the Dolomites. Whether you're into culture, shopping, or nature – Bolzano has something for everyone!

Ritten Cable Car: This cable car connects Bolzano with the Ritten Plateau, offering a convenient link between the city and the Ritten high plateau.

Ritten Narrow-Gauge Railway: A historic narrow-gauge railway that runs from Oberbozen to Klobenstein. It serves as both practical transportation and a popular tourist attraction, providing stunning views of the Dolomites as it travels through the scenic Ritten Plateau.

Rittner Horn Cable Car: A cable car leading to the Rittner Horn, specifically from Pemmern to Schwarzsee Spitze. Ideal for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, sledding, and more. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding Alpine region and the Dolomites.

At SchartnerAlm, we offer pitches of different sizes (60m², 80m², and 100m²) to meet your needs. You can use the campground map to get an overview and choose your favorite spot. So please be sure to tell us the length and type of vehicle. The parking spaces are relatively long and narrow; for special requirements or requests, please mention this in your inquiry so we can take it into account when assigning a space.

Please note that our BioPool is available to all guests without restriction but without lifeguard supervision and at your own risk. Parents are responsible for supervising their children. As noted in the site rules, access to the pool area is only permitted for children under 12 when accompanied by a parent. We kindly ask all guests to close the gate to the pool area after entering or leaving.

The Ritten in South Tyrol is known for its mild climate, many sunny days, and pleasant weather year-round. Thanks to its sheltered location, you can enjoy warm summers with refreshing mountain air and mild winters with plenty of sunshine. The Mediterranean-Alpine climate ensures that you can fully enjoy nature, whether you're hiking or simply relaxing outdoors. No matter the season, the weather on the Ritten will always make your stay unforgettable.

The digital guest book "GuestNet" is our specially designed network, available free of charge to all guests of SchartnerAlm. Here, you can easily find all the information about your stay with us, including details about SchartnerAlm and the services and amenities offered on the Ritten Plateau. Additionally, you can conveniently reserve e-bikes, sauna sessions, and more, or order bread for delivery.

• Be Informed in Advance: Check the current weather conditions, trail difficulty, and potential hazards like avalanches or rockfalls before your trip.
• Choose Suitable Routes: Select trails that match your fitness level and experience. Don’t underestimate the demands of the route, and if unsure, opt for an easier path.
• Follow Markings: Stick to marked trails and follow the signs. Avoid leaving the paths to protect nature and minimize the risk of accidents.
• Wear Appropriate Gear: Ensure you have suitable hiking shoes, weatherproof clothing, and, if necessary, hiking poles. For alpine tours, additional safety equipment like helmets and avalanche transceivers are recommended.
• Pick Up Trash: Take your trash with you and leave no waste behind. Follow the principles of "Leave No Trace" to protect the environment.
• Mind Your Fitness: Listen to your body and don’t overexert yourself. Plan regular breaks and stay hydrated to avoid dehydration.
• Respect Wildlife and Plants: Keep your distance from wildlife and don’t damage plants. Avoid stepping on flowers or sensitive vegetation.
• Safety Measures: Familiarize yourself with emergency contacts and stations in the area. Always carry a mobile phone and save important emergency numbers.
• Help Others: If you encounter other hikers in need, be ready to offer assistance. In serious emergencies, contact the rescue service immediately.
• Weather Conditions: Always pay attention to the weather forecast and be prepared to adjust your plans if conditions change suddenly.
• Have Fun: Enjoy the sun, the freedom, and the breathtaking nature. Let the surroundings inspire you and have a great time!

Quiet time is between 23.00 and 08.00. We ask you to respect this.

The reception is open from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

If you have a confirmed reservation and cannot arrive before 6:00 PM due to unexpected circumstances, please contact our reception in advance.

In this case, you will receive the following instructions:

• Please send us the IDs of all travelers and let us know if you need electricity.
• The reception will leave you a key card and send you a list of useful information and instructions by email after you have informed us that you will be arriving later.

Late check-in should take place by 9:00 PM at the latest, as we do not want to disturb other guests during their quiet hours.

If you would like to check in more efficiently, please contact us ahead of time and send us a photo of your ID.

We will then store the required information and can speed up the check-in process on site.

In most cases, you will receive an email with detailed instructions and travel preparations a few days before your arrival.

This insurance typically covers the costs that arise in the event of a cancellation, ensuring that the customer does not have to bear the full amount. Cancellation protection insurance is especially common in the travel sector and provides additional security for customers in case unforeseen events require a cancellation. The exact coverage and terms vary depending on the provider and the insurance policy. 
Travelers who do not opt for cancellation protection insurance consciously choose to bear the economic risk of a cancellation and are thus required to pay compensation (according to the cancellation terms) to the travel provider/hotel/campsite.
